Great video and place! 👍I think that the locations you've choosen are excellent, right up my alley, and look forward to watch your next trip to Madeira. (Subscribed!)
Thanks so much Stuart! Every single place we visited was as pretty as a painting (and more!) We're heading back in March for more adventures, so expect lots more viewpoints, hikes and mountain scenery :) Thank you for the support as always, take care! Susie
Thanks for watching. Honestly, the video doesn't do it justice. The Azores is also pretty cool and people compare the island to Madeira, so be sure to add that to your list too - we'll be there next year ☺️
There's a slightly higher peak in Bolungarvík Iceland. 638M with glass window and see though floor. Legend says you can see Greenland from there. Great vlog btw!
What a great video this is. Well paced and detailed description of each feature. Even better, this is November when most places do not enjoy sunshine and warmth. We are planning to visit Madeira and this will help us plan our visit properly.
You'll have a great time in Madeira - we loved it so much, we went again since our first visit in November. We put together a list of 5- things to do on the island incase you want to check that out too: ruclips.net/video/mYIsgnTC5fA/видео.html As for the drone, we use the DJI Mavik 3. You can use the drone in Madeira, but you'll need to check online to find out where you can/ cannot fly. Hope this helps! :)
Hello! You're very welcome. We've also created another travel video on 50 things to do on the island, if you want to check it out here: ruclips.net/video/mYIsgnTC5fA/видео.html In terms of dining options, where abouts in Madeira? In Funchal, or other towns? Let me know, and I can ping over some recommendations :) Susie
Thanks for following, Eric! Oh yes - they definitely are! Madeira's home to some wonderful tropical plants and flowers. Everywhere you walk, you'll come across some of the most lush plants and flowers you've ever seen. The viperine madere and the strelitza are our favourites!
You're right - it was filmed early November last year :) Madeira's temperature is pleasant all year round. It was around 24 degrees Celsius in November. Check out our other video for inspiration on more things to do on the island here: ruclips.net/video/mYIsgnTC5fA/видео.html :)
Hi guys, great video! We are going to Madeira in June, do you recommend staying in Funchal and another town (ideally in the other side of the isle) or only in Funchal as the main base? Thank you for your tips!
Hi Claudia, thank you for watching our 7 days in Madeira travel video :) We recommend staying in Funchal if you want to be near the heart of the action. Funchal town is great; you can visit the market, see the street art, wander around the town and eat at the many restaurants on offer. The promenade is also fantastic! If you're looking for a more relaxing, holiday atmosphere, Lido is also a good option too. You're close to the beach, and the hotels are generally larger and have swimming pools. We've also created a travel guide on 50 of the top things to do in Madeira on our channel, if you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/mYIsgnTC5fA/видео.html Also, we have a written guide on where to stay in Funchal, with a list of the best hotels here: worldtraveltoucan.com/where-to-stay-in-funchal/ I hope this helps! Have a great trip :) Susie
Hi Alice. We visited in November. Funchal is generally sunny but if you're heading to other places in Madeira, the weather can be really different. If you're looking to photograph, I suggest heading out first thing in the morning for a higher chance of clouds 🙏
@@ToucanTravellers It's my understanding that different parts of the island, especially the north coast, can be cloudier. Anyway I'll try my luck at the end of august-sep!
@@alicezilberbergartist the centre, north and mountainous areas generally have a lot more cloud and fog, no matter the time of the year. This is especially the case in the morning and it then clears late morning. December - March will generally have cloudier weather but you should have no problem getting some good shots with cloud or mist cover at any time of the year. We recommend checking out webcams of the area you'd like to visit just before setting off, as the weather can be extremely different around the island, even though it's a small place. Good luck! I'm sure you'll get some great shots.
Hi Raj, thanks for your comment. Are you going for a week? If not, how many days are you planning on going for? Also, are you going to be renting a car, or will you be doing tours? Susie
@@ToucanTravellers Yes please we will be renting a car & we will be Arriving funchal on 28th May @ 7am & Will be departing on 2nd June @ 6am. Appreciate your pointers Cheers 🍻
@@rajnaidu8401 You're going to have a great time! :) Here's our suggested itinerary. Day 1 - 28th - Funchal city centre in the morning. Afternoon - Funchal Cable Car to Monte Palace Tropical Gardens and Botanical Gardens. Day 2 - 29th - Madeira’s east coast - Praia de Machico, São Lourenço walking trail, Guindaste viewpoint, Santana town. Day 3 - 30th - Madeira south coast - Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girao viewpoint, Ponta do Sol, Paul do Mar waterfall, Praia da Calheta Day 4 - 31st - 25 Fontes walking trail / Risco waterfall, Fanal Forest, Ribeira da Janela, Porto Moniz, Seixal Beach Day 5 - 1st - Pico do Arieiro and the Valley of the Nuns - Remaining Funchal sites in the afternoon. For each day, take it slow and see what you can. I’ve packed lots into the itinerary, but you might not be able to see everything in one day depending on how many walks you want to do and how long you spend in each place. You could remove a full day for rest/relaxation in Funchal and still see a lot if you follow the itinerary on the other day. It all depends on how much you want to do. Have a great time! Let me know if you have any other questions.
